About The Light Mission Community
The people of The Light MC stepped outside the walls of traditional church, in the greater San Antonio, Texas area in July, 2011 as a group of Christians who wanted more in their faith journey than simply attending a Sunday morning worship service. The Light MC gathers regularly in small groups, in homes, offices and various places, around a meal, or a Bible study, where the goal is quality fellowship and the growing of extended family relationships.  These same groups step out into the community and engage in some type of service together, as missionaries, building community in love.  In worship and celebration, these small groups gather together in one larger group to praise God through music, prayer, and the teaching of God's Word.

The goal of The Light MC is to bring others into the community, especially those who, for whatever reason are not currently engaged in a church or faith community. Through fellowship gatherings and mission projects, these folks are encouraged to engage in worship and celebration as they are led. The Light MC combines the power of the gathered community of faith and the outward reach of a mission oriented body of Christ to "BE" the church into the world, making disciples along the way.
